Conservatives Nudged by Internet Occupiers

I hate to say it but we’ve all have been had by the progressives with this whole Internet bill, SOPA. I can show you exactly how we were all manipulated by this social experiment. I just read the SOPA bill in its entirety. I wish I had read it earlier.

Cass Sunstien wrote a book called “Nudge.” “Nudge is about choices-how we make them and how we can make better ones. Authors Richard H. Thaler and Cass R. Sunstein offer a new perspective on preventing the countless mistakes we make- including ill-advised personal investments, consumption of unhealthy foods, neglect of our natural resources, and other bad decisions. Citing decades of cutting-edge behavioral science research, they demonstrate that sensible “choice architecture” can successfully nudge groups of people towards the best decisions.
This is a must-read for anyone with interest in our collective well-being.”

When I read the first pages of the bill’s text, it contained language that makes sopa null and void at the drop of a hat. I have never seen a bill or law written with this kind of pretext that nullifies it almost instantly! Especially by this administration.

I suspect this was the safety net on this social experiment. If it does pass, nullification will probably happen after the social experiment is over. The language clearly states that the constitutional rights of every citizen are to be strictly protected and if anything at all in this bill has any hint of being unconstitutional against the freedom of speech for individuals, companies or the press, the entirety of the bill is null and void. I had a bad feeling when the occupiers first pushed it, that it was not what it seemed. I was very uneasy about this internet boycott, and I still think there are some nepherious actions going on with how this all went down. My office internet and home computers were not blacked out, but our wireless routers were rerouted and somehow disabled. I connected the laptops directly by wire with no blackouts whatsoever. However, last night I did have to reset all of my wireless networks all and rework each device’s passwords after this so called ‘boycott.’ That has me worried because as far as I know, an outside entity should not be able to do that. Anywhoo, I digress.

This bill has nothing to do with controlling the internet unless you are China trying to hack into our systems, or you are selling illegal drugs over the internet. In fact, the entire thing is full of description of laws we already have on the books. The text is pages of repetition & legal mumbo jumbo spelling out court rules on notification limits and other legalese definitions.

This bill has the hand of progressive manipulation by Cass Sunstine. SOPA contains 78 pages of nothing with a bunch of fluff and simple definitions of what the internet is, and what a ISP is etc. Pretty much 90% of it is nothing. Almost all of it can all be found among other laws, but people were lead to believe it was something completely different.

The remaining 10% still has nothing to do with controlling the internet. It deals with foreign entities and cyber attacks from our enemies. In fact it protects ISP companies when their networks are used in cyber attacks when the discovery of this kind of cyber-warfare is reported to the proper authorities. Which is already written into law.

The bill refers to definitions of an agency that has already been in place for years to monitor this type of cyber information. The bill repeats existing laws that protect our sensitive & top secret information safe from foreign countries like CHINA from using cyber warfare against us!

The bill simply reiterates the laws that make it a federal crime to leak military information into Wikileaks. Remember the guy who leaked important stuff to wikileaks of sensitive military information to our enemies abroad? We are all for that now because no one stopped to read the bill.

Sadly conservatives and liberals alike were all nudged into thinking they were protesting something other than the truth. The sheeple all protested saying we have the right to join the military, gain security clearance, and leak whatever you want to leak into the public eye of the rest of the world.

This has the horrible implications of making our men and women in uniform into sitting ducks, and we were happy to let it happen. Cass Sunstine nudged all of us into protesting that security, and he was able to show the progressive leaders in power that he is an expert in controlling the masses into a nationwide “group-think.”

His power to affect our choices has gained new ground, and that should infuriate all of us. We acted right in line just like sheeple occupiers, telling the world we are against our laws that protect our military secrets and our citizens from the like of Iran, China, etc. from cyber actions of war.

Not only that, but the occupiers are now using the comments he made about sopa to take down Santorum. Which is the least of our worries knowing that even conservatives can be manipulated into their choices of what bills they will support and what bills they will protest.

Take it or leave it, but I just thought I should get it off my chest.

Liberal Trolls Wreck Havock

This article was passed on to me from a different group.  I can imagine this kind of group manipulation has been going on for a long time and not just in social networking groups.  I just wish there was a better way to stop it.  Destructing the confidence of anyone or any group with conservative or teaparty values and undermining their ability to unify is proving to be very effective.  Mostly because they don’t have to win; they just have to wear you down to the point that you just throw in the towel.

Liberal Trolls: Cass Sunstein Advocates “Cognitive Infiltration” of Groups

My point about groups being infiltrated by trolls has taken another turn.  Apparently, Cass Sunstein, the Regulatory Czar, had suggested, that community organizers, or allied groups, infiltrate and undermine groups…”

In a 2008 academic paper, President Barack Obama’s appointee to head the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs advocated “cognitive infiltration” of groups…

Cass Sunstein, a Harvard law professor, co-wrote an academic article entitled “Conspiracy Theories: Causes and Cures,” in which he argued that the government should stealthily infiltrate groups that pose alternative theories on historical events via “chat rooms, online social networks, or even real-space groups and attempt to undermine” those groups.(Emphasis mine)

I think we also might consider that most of what we discuss on Conservative blogs and forums would be classified by the left as  “conspiracy theories.”  ClimateGate, the “Czars,” the lack of transparency, the public option being a trojan horse for single payer, the Porkulus money going to places that don’t exist…are all well documented, but because the left has to discredit them, they will be categorized as “conspiracies.”

Sunstein’s article, published in the Journal of Political Philosphy in 2008 and recently uncovered by blogger Marc Estrin, states that “our primary claim is that conspiracy theories typically stem not from irrationality or mental illness of any kind but from a ‘crippled epistemology,’ in the form of a sharply limited number of (relevant) informational sources.”

By “crippled epistemology” Sunstein means that people who believe in conspiracy theories have a limited number of sources of information that they trust. Therefore, Sunstein argued in the article, it would not work to simply refute the conspiracy theories in public — the very sources that conspiracy theorists believe would have to be infiltrated.

Crippled epistemology?  I wonder if Mr. Sunstein realizes that many of us regularly watch MSM news shows, visit sites and feeds from MSM newspapers, and visit left leaning web sites (or am I being redundant)?  I can’t be alone in that.  After all, how can one fight an ideological battle when one does not know what the opposition thinks and believes?

Sunstein argued that “government might undertake (legal) tactics for breaking up the tight cognitive clusters of extremist theories.” He suggested that “government agents (and their allies) might enter chat rooms, online social networks, or even real-space groups and attempt to undermine percolating conspiracy theories by raising doubts about their factual premises, causal logic or implications for political action.”

Hmm.  Using deceit to undermine online groups…

Estrin notes that Sunstein advocates in his article for the infiltration of “extremist” groups so that it undermines the groups’ confidence to the extent that “new recruits will be suspect and participants in the group’s virtual networks will doubt each other’s bona fides.”

Discourage, undermine, and discredit…seems similar to the Alinsky Method, doesn’t it?  I’ve received comments here that I know were from trolls posing as conservatives.  It will get worse, especially since the left will grow increasingly desperate.  They are facing more organized and effective resistance.  They won’t stand for that.

My guess is that they will try to fragment us based on single issues, pitting Libertarians against the Teaparty against Conservatives, and so on.

Sunstein has been the target of numerous “conspiracy theories” himself, mostly from the right wing political echo chamber, with conservative talking heads claiming he favors enacting “a second Bill of Rights” that would do away with the Second Amendment. Sunstein’s recent book, On Rumors: How Falsehoods Spread, Why We Believe Them, What Can Be Done, was criticized by some on the right as “a blueprint for online censorship.”

There we go.  We quote the guy, and he’s the victim?

Sunstein “wants to hold blogs and web hosting services accountable for the remarks of commenters on websites while altering libel laws to make it easier to sue for spreading ‘rumors,’” wrote Ed Lasky at American Thinker.

Now, let’s take a look at how this might play out.  For example, let’s say I write an article about an administration official or Congressman.  I use quotes and videos to document what the official stands for or is suggesting, and it doesn’t look to good for the official.  The lefties then have someone post a false or inflammatory comment.  Then, the public official might sue me, or has my web host shut me down.  Voila!  Dissent eliminated.

So what might the consequences of this be?  Bloggers might limit, or turn off comments, and thereby conversation on issues, for the fear of being sued.  Forget hosting a forum at all.  The lefties will infiltrate and lay waste to those completely.  I’ve seen that happen without the fear of being sued.  As time wears on, web hosts might not host blogs at all, rather than face penalties or harassment from the government or lefty groups.

The left would be perfectly happy with that.  We are a thorn in their side.  We have that pesky habit of resisting them, and posting quotes from liberals.  In the end, the chilling effect on free speech would be most effective.

But it doesn’t end there.  Remember that Mark Lloyd denied writing what he had written and saying what he said?  Well friends, forget that this is all documented in audio clips, videos, articles and books.   You might just get sued anyway.  Remember, for the left, the idea is NEVER to have a free exchange of ideas; it’s to silence anyone who disagrees with them.  If they have to file thousands of frivolous lawsuits or complaints to make bloggers stop, or ruin them…so be it.  The end goal is the elimination of dissent.

Think I’m exaggerating?  Ask Sarah Palin.  How many frivolous complaints and lawsuits were filed against her when she was still governor?  All were thrown out, but the amount of  money spent to fight them was massive.  That’s the idea, they don’t have to win; they just have to wear you down to the point that you just throw in the towel.

All the while, they’ll deny limiting free speech.  They won’t jail anyone.  They won’t make anyone disappear, but they will use more subtle means to silence bloggers, or anyone else that disagrees with them. And all the while, they’ll couch their fascism in kind terms.  That is what is makes it difficult to define.  Always remember that totalitarians never announce themselves, or their true intent.  They never tell you  the real agenda, and they will use terms like “civility, openness, and balance” to justify their censorship.

State of the Education Union Address

Obama’s speech…  uninspiring.

Despite the uncoordinated rah-rah, stand-up, sit-down liberal jumping jacks presented for their fearless leader, the messiah mask has fallen.  Obama was revealed as the sad sales pitch man who’s next failure will be to champion the next place to stimulate, bailout invest more taxpayer debt.

Education related key words seemed to overwhelm the content of his speech.  I got the message that Obama plans to implement the next bailout, stimulus, investment into public education.  That is, towards the union of an already failing public education system.

Obama’s advertisement pitch was all about how he wanted to save our children, and bailout, stimulate, invest in their future by bloating up the education unions and regulating and already over-regulated system.  (How clever since states are trimming the non essentials from their state budgets in their state’s education system as we speak.)

One suggestion Obama almost slipped into the speech unnoticed, was the plan send our children into the public system at an even younger age than we do now because other prosperous nations like China do it.

I know where this is going.   Its already been done with the special needs community. The disability community has grown to accept that the public system is the only one who can provide essential support services thus preventing a national crisis for children born with disabilities.

From birth to age three, in the name of early education, families in the special education community rightfully receive state services in their home for any support service or need.  Not that it is a bad thing, but the rest of America should be paying attention here!

The local elementary school takes over at age three and the families develop some good and some not so good relationships with the special education departments that can last a very long time.  Which will be similar to how typical parents will be drawn into a similar scenario if their kids are drawn into the public education union system at age three or younger.

I totally understand how tempting this can be, because who wouldn’t love the public school taking care of your kiddo’s at an earlier age so you could pay a daycare less.  Even if you are a homemaker, getting the much needed break of sending your kids for an eight hour school day is an idea that I have embraced at one time or another.

Not that it isn’t a good thing in theory.  Making sure families are encouraged to educate their children at a younger age in order to give them an edge in learning is a great concept to consider, but the public system is not necessarily the expert in this area that they claim to be.  The verifiable track record of the public education union system is about as good as the rest of the federal government.

However, the real reason obama hyped on an education stimulus, bailout, investment was because the education unions are depending on it.  Obama’s State of the Education Union sales pitch will create a new bureaucracy with more money to fund more early education union jobs, ultimately to help Andy Stern cover his union bankrupting ways.

Even if the public retaliates by committing to homeschool, the liberals could care less.  The taxes are still assessed, Stern still gets his taxpayer funded bailout regardless, and Obama gets the higher taxes he wants, all in the name of saving the children.  They think it is a win-win for them.

There were other parts to obama’s speech, but nothing that was inspiring enough to harp on.  The man has lost his touch, and the people know it.

Although, Paul Ryan’s response… AMAZING and presidential.

Bachmann’s response representing the Teaparty was surprisingly not aired live by Fox.

The biggest shock of the night, CNN was the only network to air the Teaparty response delivered by Representative Bachman live!  WHOA, dead birds mean nothing to me.  If this is not the sign of the apocalypse, I do not know what is!

It was interesting that Fox News misunderestimated underestimated the Teaparty much like the rest of the lame stream media.  Very few people out there were even aware that a historical a third response was going to be offered after the State of the Education Union address.  The drive by media failed to report that Representative Michelle Bachmann was going to do the Tea Party response.

She is not the leader of the Teaparty per se, but she does represent those values more than the rest of the leaders of this nation, and that is what the majority want to see and hear.   Bachmann rose to that occasion beautifully.

Fox played the Luntz poll during her speech.  Not that he isn’t important, but Bachman’s speech was historically important, and viewed by a large number of American’s on CNN who were actually angry at Fox’s actions.

Although, as I write this, Greta has conceded her show to air Bachmann’s speech in full.  I guess Fox News heard their ratings hitting the floor.  Whoever made that decision was not thinking with a full deck.

My prediction.  Bailout’s for education unions post haste.
